About the colored pins
The only place color carries political meaning.
These colors appear on the map only when a business has chosen, through its own verified profile, to state a stance in its own words: red and blue for the two major parties, gold for Libertarian (matching that party's actual brand color), and a separate color for anything else a business declares.
Every other pin — regardless of type — stays neutral, colored the same as any other listing, and differs only by its category icon. Nothing is inferred, and nothing is assumed.
