Terms

Terms of use.

Plain terms, matched to what Disclosr actually does.

Like the Privacy page, this reflects what the site actually does, not a generic template.

What's shown on this site

The map preview and tier examples on the homepage are illustrative, meant to demonstrate how the directory will work. Real business listings are added and verified per the process on Methodology.

Accuracy

We aim for accuracy in everything published — a public donation record, a quoted public statement, a self-reported business profile — and will correct errors promptly. See Contact to report anything wrong.

Business accounts

An account holder affirms they have the authority to represent the business they're listing, and is personally responsible for what they post under that account. Anyone who believes something about their business is inaccurate can request a correction — see Contact.

Consumer accounts

Creating an account is optional and only used to save your own preferences for browsing the site — it doesn't grant you any ability to edit, comment on, or influence what's shown about any business. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials to yourself; if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us (see Contact). You can delete your account at any time, which removes your saved preferences immediately. Any optional political-lean preference you set is used only to personalize your own view of the map and is never published, shared, or used to characterize any business — the strict sourcing standard described in Methodology for business political information applies only to businesses, never to what any individual user privately tells us about themselves.
